Creating Community Through Music

As the founder of Aquaman’s Lab, Swami set out to create an organic live band with electronic roots. The project united him with two important creative companions: percussionist Alex Koresis, known as Bongo Loco, and Sam, known as Sound of Sam. Each brought a distinct musical journey to the collaboration—Swami’s production and rhythmic direction, Alex’s live percussion and instinctive energy, and Sam’s sound and electronic perspective. Together, they created performances where musicians, machines and improvisation could meet in the moment.

That collaborative spirit continued through Swami’s contribution to Southbound’s Coconut Club, which he co-founded and helped develop into a platform for local DJs, producers and emerging electronic artists. His wider journey has taken him through festival stages, studio production, live performance, ecstatic dance and community events across the South West and beyond.

Swami’s experience as a drummer gives his DJ sets a strong rhythmic foundation, while his producer’s ear allows him to build complete musical journeys rather than simply move between tracks. His extensive collection crosses genres and generations, but the approach remains the same: listen closely, respond honestly and allow the energy of the room to shape where the music goes.

Today, Swami is open to festivals, venue performances, production projects, live electronic collaborations and creative community events. Whether working independently or alongside artists such as Alex and Sam, he brings experience, curiosity and a genuine belief that music is most powerful when it is created together.
